Baptist Hospital Northeast Forming Hospitalist Group

Baptist Hospital Northeast is recruiting physicians to form its own group of hospitalists. The group will initially consist of three physicians, the first of which has been hired. Michelle Lewis, MD, is a native of La Grange and is a third-year resident at Southern Illinois University Medical School at Springfield.

The program will officially start in September under the direction of Chief Medical Officer Joshua Honaker, MD. Billing and management consulting will be provided by David Bensema, MD and the Central Baptist Hospital hospitalist program.
